 Yes, but it was Ebbie Thatcher and he was an old friend of Bill's. Ebbie showed up at Bill Wilson's home one day, and told Bill that he had gotten sober, through a religious organization, called the "Oxford Group." Thats where the ball got rolling, and that is where many of our princibles, have come from.If you want more info I suggest you read A.A.
