RE: Ro's weight-loss thread
you can make your own sweet potato fries, or just buy them like regular frozen french fries in a bag...(I get them at Sams...but they sell them in 5 lb. bags...so you had better REALLY like them).
RZ, thanks for your words of wisdom, but life has been smacking me on my head and buttismo for quite a while, so if I'm sober I can at least fight back.....perhaps one day, i'll be telling my story too....but for now, it's easier to just not drink...the last thing I need (and want) are more complications...which would make what i am saying more clear...(i hope i do not sound snarky) I do have physician support in many forms, both personal (The X before Mr. Fandy is a cardiologist) and professional, i closely work with them. i am looking forward to tomorrow and another small accomplishment!!! RE: Ro's weight-loss thread
My alarm/phone died overnight so I overslept. I feel not so great this morning and decided to stay home from work. I must be PMS'ing as I had chocolate pudding (fat free) for breakfast and a hard roll with butter. I'll make up for it later by eating better .. after I get some sleep. I'm exhausted for some reason.
I fell asleep holding my turn it over stone and I'm going to do that again .. right now. What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything? - Vincent van Gogh |

When my kids were young, and needed a day off of school it was called a Mental Health Day, so today you take that much need mental health day for yourself Ro. Chocolate pudding (fat free) sheesh you are better than me, I don't believe in fat free foods. I'm so happy that stone is giving you comfort Ro. She believed she could so she did.... RE: Ro's weight-loss thread
Ro;
a hard roll with butter will cure almost anything...if you use REAL BUTTER!!! (you must be from NJ too)! so I make my coffee this AM, bringing back to bedroom to read my e-mails, etc...and TRIP OVER CATNIP COUCH!!! (the real Fandy was rearranging his *furniture*)....coffee goes flying, most of it lands on my head, reading glasses and clean sheets...thankfully it misses the laptop keyboard. it was actually quite funny..although i lost a perfectly delish. K-cup of butter toffee coffee! and my one knee will soon be black/blue... it did not stop me from exercising...happy to report, today was 9's days, for reps. and mins. on the treadmill...I'm up to 7 different exercises of wt. reps, push-ups squats, sit-ups etc. EVERY Day I'm Sober counts |

RE: Ro's weight-loss thread
i must be talking to myself, or I scared everyone away?....today was 10's day...10 reps of different wts. reps and push-ups....10 minutes on the treadmill....and yesterday one elevator was down in the parking garage at work...I amazed myself by climbing 12 flights of stairs....had to rest for about 30 seconds mid-way through, but I made it, easier than I thought!

RE: Ro's weight-loss thread
I'm home for the second day - depression has descended. I'm staying within my points target for weight watchers, but i'm spending my time sleeping, not exercising. I am very very tired.
Tonight is home group - I'll push myself to go. The hounds of hell are nipping at my heels - better keep moving. What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything? - Vincent van Gogh |
